Motion Planning Engineer, Tesla Bot

Job Description

As a member of the Tesla Bot software team, you'll design and implement control code for bipedal locomotion, object manipulation, and state estimation. You will work on improving the robot’s real-world behavior and reflect those capabilities in a simulation engine. Your work will run in thousands of humanoid robots in real-world situations, held to high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Production-quality, modern C++
• Experience with modern planning approaches (search, sampling, continuous optimization, model predictive control)
• Strong background in robotics fundamentals (geometry, linear algebra, kinematics, dynamics, probability)
• Background in Computer Science/Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or equivalent practical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design algorithms for human motion capture and playback
• Develop motion planning software for humanoid robots
• Design real-time trajectory optimizers
• Minimize latency in trajectory execution
• Ship production-quality software
• Collaborate with a team focused on robotic automation.
