Mechanical Engineer, Actuator Integration, Tesla Bot

Job Description

Tesla's actuator team designs actuators for humanoid robots. This role focuses on developing high-performance rotary and linear actuator systems. Responsibilities include designing speed reduction systems, collaborating with motor design engineers, prototyping, and evaluating new technologies to create efficient and reliable actuator systems used in Tesla's humanoid robots.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Aerospace Engineering
• 3+ years in rotary and linear gear systems for electromechanical actuators
• Experience in mechanical engineering in product design
• Strong experience with geared actuator systems
• Familiarity with torque and force sensing technologies
• Hands-on experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design rotary and linear speed reduction systems
• Collaborate on actuator systems development
• Evaluate new technologies
• Prototype designs for validation
• Perform fabrication, machining, and debugging
• Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing engineers.
