Sr. Mechanical Reliability Engineer, Tesla Bot

Job Description

As part of the Design for Reliability team, you will ensure reliability in the mechanical components of Tesla Bot. This involves collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to validate hardware and following the reliability lifecycle from concept through manufacturing. Responsibilities include assessing product risks, defining mission profiles, facilitating failure analysis, and delivering data-based reliability design guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years in reliability and test development of complex mechanical systems, preferably robotics
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of material properties and failure mechanisms
• Experience with failure analysis techniques
• Working knowledge of applied statistics and statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Work in cross-functional teams to assess product risks
• Apply reliability methods to design test plans
• Define mission profiles for Bot use cases
• Facilitate failure analysis
• Deliver reliability design guidelines and communicate requirements.
