Sr. Electrical Design Engineer, Low Voltage Hardware

Job Description

The Low Voltage Hardware team designs the electrical systems of Tesla products. This role involves the ownership of hardware design from specification to validation, collaboration with various teams, and rapid iteration of design requirements and product features. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of analog and digital circuits and experience in shipping high-volume circuit boards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in circuit board design
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits
• Proficiency with lab equipment
• Basic programming ability (Python preferred)
• Knowledge of automotive design requirements
• Experience in designing for autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Start-to-finish hardware ownership, including design and validation of circuit boards
• Collaboration with PCB layout, firmware, and validation teams
• Thorough documentation of design requirements
• Rapid iteration as design requirements mature.
