Silicon & Systems Validation Engineer, AP Hardware

Job Description

The candidate will focus on developing validation plans, tools, and infrastructure for Tesla's custom SoCs. Responsibilities include test plan development, validation of IP, power characterization, and troubleshooting hardware bugs. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Silicon Architecture, particularly in PCIe controller designs, and should be comfortable working on PCIe architectures involving SOCs and switches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in PCIe Gen6 bringup and SOC validation
• Familiar with ARM or x86 System on Chip Architectures
• Experience with Silicon bringup and PCBA debugging
• Experience with Statistical Data Analysis and Electrical Testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Bring up and characterize Autopilot Custom Silicon and PCBA
• Collaborate with teams for hardware design and automated test infrastructures
• Write test plans and develop test cases
• Characterize and improve power and performance consumption
• Perform Failure Analysis
• Write firmware and driver code for testing.
