Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the team at the Metairie, LA office. In this role, you will conduct geotechnical field investigations, perform laboratory testing, evaluate data, and carry out geotechnical analyses for hydraulic structures, including levees and slopes. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and safety of critical infrastructure projects, contributing to the resilience of communities. Requirements

• Bachelor's in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• Preferred: EIT certificate, Master’s degree, prior internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical field investigation, soil and groundwater sampling, geotechnical analysis for levees, slopes, and hydraulic structures
• Data evaluation and preparing technical reports
• Expect 10-25% fieldwork.
