Research Scientist, Generative AI (PhD)

Job Description

Meta is seeking a Research Scientist to join our Large Language Model (LLM) Research team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in generative AI and NLP, with experience in language model evaluation, responsible LLMs, reinforcement learning for LLMs, and/or multilingual and multimodal modeling.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field
• Experience in generative AI and LLM research
• Experience in developing and debugging in Python
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience developing interactive solutions for computer vision, NLP, or computer graphics
• Work authorization required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate on state-of-the-art research in large language models
• Design experiments, write reusable code, and run evaluations
• Work with globally distributed teams
• Contribute to publications and open-sourcing efforts
• Help identify long-term research goals and intermediate milestones
• Collaborate cross-functionally and prioritize research applicable to Meta’s product development.
