Research Engineer - Conversational AI - Reality Labs

Job Description

Reality Labs is seeking a Research Engineer to join our Large Language Model (LLM) Research team for the device-driven AI Assistant effort. We focus on research and engineering to build state-of-the-art LLMs for on-device and server use cases. Strong research engineers with a background in generative AI and NLP are ideal.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
• Research experience in machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing
• Experience developing machine learning models at scale
• Programming experience in Python and with frameworks like PyTorch
• Exposure to large-scale software architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design methods, tools, and infrastructure to advance the state-of-the-art in LLMs
• Define research goals informed by practical engineering concerns
• Contribute to experiments, including designing, coding, evaluating, and organizing results
• Adapt machine learning methods to modern parallel environments (distributed clusters, multicore, GPU)
• Collaborate with a large, globally distributed team
• Contribute to publications and open-sourcing efforts.
