Production Engineer (University Grad)

Job Description

Production Engineers (PEs) at Meta are a hybrid between software and systems engineers and ensure that our products and services are reliable and scalable. PEs work on a range of products and infrastructure, writing code and solving complex issues in live production environments that impact over 2 billion people worldwide.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Experience in *nix (Linux, BSDs, or another UNIX-like OS)
• Experience coding in industry-standard languages like Java, Python, C++, or PHP
• Ability to learn new software, frameworks, and APIs
• Work authorization required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of relevant product areas, codebase, and systems
• Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering
• Produce high-quality code with test coverage, using modern frameworks
• Work independently and problem-solve efficiently to complete tasks on schedule
• Master Meta’s development standards and take on increasingly complex projects.
