HPC Engineer, AI Infrastructure

Job Description

As an HPC Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the AI infrastructure for FSD, Tesla Bot & Dojo engineering teams. Your role includes managing/operating AI infrastructure, monitoring compute/GPU/network metrics, troubleshooting Linux performance, and coordinating with the Data Center team for smooth operations. Your work will directly facilitate neural network training at scale and streamline development.

Requirements

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash
• Proficiency with Linux & network fundamentals
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of additional equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Support AI/ML cluster infrastructure on GPU and Dojo platforms
• Improve monitoring & self-healing pipelines
• Work with hardware vendors to optimize server and network performance
• Performance tuning & OS provisioning on Linux systems
• Manage HPC clusters, workloads and applications
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
