Data Engineer Intern

Job Description

As a Data Engineer Intern, you will support billions of users by delivering a solid data foundation that drives informed decision-making. Collaborating with software engineering, data science, and product management teams, you will solve interesting data challenges and optimize growth and user experience across Meta’s platforms.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#, Scala)
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and deploy new data models and data processes in production
• Perform data analysis to generate business insights
• Interface with Engineers, Product Managers, and Data Scientists to understand product goals and data needs
• Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership
• Manage data warehouse plans for a product or group of products
• Support critical data processes running in production.
