EDP - Firmware Engineer

Job Description

Milwaukee Tool’s Firmware Engineers design firmware for embedded systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create industry-leading tools. This role involves developing firmware, testing, and troubleshooting embedded electronics, supporting innovative solutions for productivity and safety in the construction industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Experience with embedded C/C++ and microprocessors
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to read schematics
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronics
• Develop firmware applications and libraries
• Conduct simulations, experiments, and data analysis
• Track project schedules
• Conduct peer-reviews and ensure regulatory compliance
• Document technical meetings and presentations.
