Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer will work on the design process of new systems for KLA's ECI division in Totowa, NJ, focusing on chemical monitoring and management systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in engineering or related discipline
• 3+ years of related work experience
• Experience in design of microfluidic systems, material science, spectrophotometry, or fiber-optics
• Proficiency in Inventor 3D CAD and AutoCAD software

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete design process of new systems including feasibility studies, detailed design, prototype testing, and handoff to manufacturing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure flawless integration and testing
• Develop supporting documentation such as assembly and test procedures and service manuals
• Optimize engineering design for manufacturability and standardization
