Product Development Engineer

Product Development Engineer role at KLA focusing on chemical analysis technology advancement.

Requirements

• Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science
• Experience in microfluidic systems, material science, spectrophotometry, or related disciplines
• Proficiency in scientific and statistical analysis tools such as Matlab, Python, and LabView
• Strong background in engineering or physical science with analysis and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of Mechanical, Fiber-optic, Fluidic, Electromechanical, and Software/Control systems
• Experience in subsystem development and troubleshooting in relevant areas

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and specifications for chemical analysis process
• Collaborate with Applications, R&D, and engineering teams
• Research and evaluate suppliers' product capabilities
• Develop improvement plans and test plans
• Conceptualize and design new devices as needed
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to review designs and test plans
• Execute test plans and analyze performance
• Troubleshoot system and subsystem issues
• Support internal and external customers in process optimization
• Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts in manufacturing and field settings
• Occasional domestic and international travel (<20%)
