Algorithm Engineer (C++, Optical modeling, Fourier Optics, Linux) (E)

Job Description

KLA is seeking a motivated individual for an engineer position in world-class algorithm group within the reticle product division (RAPID). This individual will develop algorithms for inspection systems using skills in Fourier optics, mathematics, and software.

Requirements

• PhD, or M.S. + 3 years, or B.S. + 5 years in Physics, Applied Math, EE, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in Classical and Fourier optics
• Algorithm development with C++ in unix/linux environment
• Linear and non-linear optimizations
• Capability to formulate creative solutions through analyzing complex data
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop optical modeling of inspection systems
• Improve formulation and calibration for better accuracy
• Abstract specific tasks into generic mathematical problems and find customized algorithm solutions
• Balance rigor and practicality through comprehensive data analysis
• Provide input to hardware group on image quality and error budget based on Algorithm design and performance
• Engage with marketing on product requirements and provide training to application team
