Optomechanical Design Engineer (E)

Job Description

KLA is seeking Optomechanical Engineers to design precision components, modules, and subsystems for cutting edge reticle inspection tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years work experience in 3D solid modeling and 3 years in FEA, GD&T
• Experience in opto-mechanical systems, ultra-high vacuum systems, design of inspection equipment, motion controls, electronics, data acquisition systems, measurement instrumentation, and tooling & test fixture design

Responsibilities

• Drive requirements specification and feasibility studies
• Conduct analysis including fluid, thermal, vibrational, and FEA modeling
• Lead design reviews and manage suppliers
• Prototype assembly and testing, system integration, and documentation release
