Job Description

Join KLA as a Precision Mechanical Engineer to work on groundbreaking mechatronics systems for semiconductor inspection and metrology tools.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Experience with design of mechanical/mechatronic hardware
• Knowledge of vibrations, dynamics, and control system modeling
• Experience doing finite element analysis
• Understanding of dynamic system modeling and feedback control systems
• Knowledge of MATLAB or python
• Enjoy hands-on challenges, collaboration, and delivering great results
• Experience with CAD and a passion for design

Responsibilities

• Design models of high-performance linear and rotary motion system dynamics
• Develop, build, and control mechatronics hardware
• Analyze and design solutions to machine dynamics and vibration challenges
• Use model-based design techniques to build predictive performance models
• Help with concept generation, error budgets, and customer concerns
