Staff Safety Integration Engineer

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Staff Safety Integration Engineer to manage technical project management process for vehicle safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years experience in automotive safety, vehicle testing, or system integration.
• Ability to travel to vehicle and component launch locations.
• Strong working knowledge of FMVSS, ECE, NCAP and other automotive safety evaluation preferred.
• Proven project management experience, with expertise in tracking milestones, managing risks, and coordinating teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional integration efforts and secure stakeholder buy-in for vehicle safety programs.
• Provide a single point of contact for external TPMs and program management.
• Lead and coordinate the preparation of performance reports and status updates for key internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure integration requirements are identified, tracked, and resolved.
• Monitor and manage integration activities, proactively identifying risks and issues and driving resolutions.
• Ensure that integration processes are documented and adhered to, in alignment with best practices and company standards.
• Manage external stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth communication and integration throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
• Represent safety to external stakeholders, ensuring that the vehicle safety program challenges and opportunities are communicated clearly and effectively.
• Ensure the integration efforts are aligned with broader strategic objectives and that the integration timelines are met.
