Staff Software Engineer, ML Training and Inference Infrastructure

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for ML training and inference infrastructure to develop advanced machine learning algorithms impacting safety critical self-driving features.

Requirements

• PhD in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience
• Deep knowledge of PyTorch
• Experience in model training framework (e.g., PyTorch Lightning, ray, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of transformer architecture
• Experience with large scale distributed training of models
• Experience with CUDA or Triton language for writing custom ops
• Knowledge of Nvidia TensorRT
• Knowledge of NCCL
• Experience with edge computing systems

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy large deep learning models
• Optimize Deep Learning training workload on NVIDIA GPU systems
• Optimize model inference latency on onboard systems
• Optimize model pre- and post-processing on onboard systems
