Chassis Design Release Engineer - Wheels & Tires

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Chassis Design Engineer to work on product development of wheels, tires, and service kit content for their Electric Adventure vehicles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3 years experience in a chassis design or development role at an OEM
• Strong experience using CAD, ideally CATIA V6
• Knowledge of GD&T, Material Selection, Design Decision Matrices, Root Cause Analysis, Manufacturing methods for wheels, tires, jacks
• Understanding of chassis design, vehicle dynamics, wheel & tire alignment, tire design
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Project management, design, and implementation of wheels, tires, and service kit content
• Ensure products meet project parameters and homologation requirements
• Create engineering specification packages and manage design verification requirements
• Collaborate with suppliers and manage project schedule
• Contribute towards design compromise discussions and balance multiple projects
