Chief Engineer

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join the Data Center Engineering Operations Team. The role involves managing and leading the DCEO Engineering Team, overseeing critical facility operations and maintenance, and ensuring the data center's MEP operates at peak efficiency.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment
• 4+ years of Facilities Management Experience

Responsibilities

• Management and leadership of DCEO Engineering Team
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance
• On-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency services on critical systems
• Data Center capacity planning and reporting
• Assist in the design and build out of new facilities
• Coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency
• Deliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are met
• Asset and inventory management
• Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls
• Training and development of EOTs including night shift personnel
