FPGA Designer (Display Silicon Digital Architect)

Job Description

The display silicon applications team at Apple is seeking a hands-on developer with a broad skillset to cover roles related to FPGA, Modeling, and Silicon Architecture and Usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant industry experience in EE, Silicon, or FPGA designs or applications
• Experience with Digital Architecture, RTL Coding, Implementation, Verification, Debugging, and Deployment
• Experience with serial interfaces like SPI, I2C, and high-speed serdes IPs
• Experience with Scripting and Automation (e.g., Python)

Responsibilities

• Work with multi-functional teams to converge on display silicon functionality
• Use existing silicon and design FPGAs to prototype new display features or technology
• Specify Silicon Requirements and microarchitecture
• Work with vendors and other teams to deliver quality silicon and resolve any issues
• Support validation, generate and optimize silicon configurations
• Propose new features, capabilities, and performance requirements for new custom silicon
• Support teams using FPGA platforms, ASICs, and models
