Flex DFM Engineer

Job Description

The Flex DFM Engineer at Apple possesses a deep knowledge of the processes and materials used to create flexible printed circuits, providing maintenance of Apple's general specification and design guidelines for flexible printed circuits.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering
• At least 3 - 10 years of applicable experience
• Experience with antenna related flexes is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Capability in statistical methods of data analysis

Responsibilities

• Maintain Apple's general specification and design guidelines for flexible printed circuits
• Analyze defects in flexible printed circuits and lead improvement activities
• Collaborate with flexible printed circuit vendors on development projects
• Conduct qualification of vendor manufacturing sites and lines
• Implement appropriate design improvements based on vendor feedback
