Senior Software Engineer - Privacy Controls and Frameworks

Job Description

The Engineer will develop and debug systems written in C, Objective-C and Swift that give the users control over how their personal data is shared with other systems, applications and individuals.

Requirements

• 5 years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Ability to write, compile and debug software written in C, Objective-C or Swift
• Understanding of multi-threaded programming, synchronization and multi-process IPC
• Experience shipping software to customers
• Experience in the planning, design, implementation, integration, test and maintenance phases of software development
• Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and integrate permission systems which manage access to sensor information and data stores
• Participate in all phases of the software development cycle across nearly all platforms in the Apple ecosystem
• Continually evolve systems to keep up with new threat vectors which would bypass the user’s consent
• Build software frameworks at the system services layer of the platform’s OS
