Mechanical Design Engineering Manager, Infrastructure Services

Job Description

Apple is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the analysis, evaluation, and collaboration of servers, Data Center Cooling, and Electrical Infrastructure components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience with Mechanical 2D and/or 3D modeling tools
• 5+ years of experience in analysis methods such as CFD, FEA, stress, strain, vibration analysis, thermal, fluid flow, or failure analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead innovation and collaboration in designing or improving evaluation environments, test fixtures, and systems for new technologies
• Lead team members in defining project requirements, risks, effort, and schedule
• Lead transportation and vibration analysis
• Conduct design validation of devices or systems to requirements, analyze and collaborate results across Apple development groups
• Contribute to the global body of knowledge and drive a cycle of continuous improvement at a global scale
• Support Data Center Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance/troubleshooting support, and procedure review for both mechanical and electrical issues
