Job Description

Apple is seeking an experienced Software Engineer In Test to join the Financing and Retail Systems team. The role involves designing and developing testing infrastructure to ensure high-quality software products and services are delivered to customers.

Requirements

• Experience as a Software Engineer or Software Engineer in Test
• Proficiency in building automation tools and frameworks for testing web services such as REST and gRPC
• Strong understanding of Java programming, scripting using Python and Shell, and relational/non-relational databases
• Experience in Web/UI automation using Selenium, Appium, or Playwright
• Experience in testing data pipelines and messaging platforms like Kafka
• Knowledge of application frameworks like Spring, DevOps, CI/CD processes, and cloud platforms like AWS and GCP
• Ability to document test plans, author and execute test cases, and analyze test results

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing testing infrastructure i.e. tools, frameworks, reporting mechanisms
• Integrating test suites and infrastructure with CI/CD systems
• Writing various types of tests (unit, integration, smoke, performance) for existing and new projects
• Staying updated on new testing tools and strategies
• Collaborating with manual and automation team members to develop effective testing strategies and quality metrics
