Analog Custom Silicon Validation Engineer

Join the design and validation team responsible for ensuring that internally developed silicon meets the design and functional specifications at Apple.

Requirements

• BSEE and 3+ years of related industry experience
• Experience testing PLLs, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, and voltage references regulators
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment including digital multimeter, source meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power supply, logic analyzer, etc.
• Hands-on experience with test automation using Python and data analysis tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Silicon validation, bench testing, and characterization of custom mixed-signal ICs
• Collaborating with design team on silicon validation and characterization test plans
• Developing electrical tests using analog interfaces, FPGA and JTAG to validate IPs
• Developing board-level solutions for characterization and emulation platforms to meet design team requirements
• Defining test equipment, schematic, and layout requirements to enable on-bench testing
• Automating tests, extracting results, and generating test reports. Comparing measured performance to design specifications
• Collaborating with designers and cross-functional teams at silicon and module levels
• Supporting production engineer and failure analysis debug in the lab
