Touch/Force Hardware - Sensor System Architect

Job Description

The Sensor Architecture team at Apple develops state-of-the-art sensor technologies for various Apple products including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and AirPods.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Mathematics
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
• Deep understanding of EE, Transducer physics, and system engineering
• Proficiency in MATLAB and COMSOL or equivalent packages
• Experience modeling, building, and testing complex multi-physics systems
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Architecting the entire sensor system for each product
• Building comprehensive sensor models
• First-principles physical modeling and analysis
• Co-architecting and assessing design tradeoffs with partner teams
• Identifying novel sensing architectures
