System UI Engineer - Apple Vision Pro

Job Description

The Vision Products Group (VPG) at Apple is seeking an engineer to help build the next generation of system experiences for visionOS, working with advanced technologies like spatial computing, ARKit, and RealityKit.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with design and engineering teams
• Proficient in C, Objective-C, or Swift
• Experience in writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code
• Understanding of UI design best practices (e.g. AppKit, SwiftUI, UIKit)

Responsibilities

• Work with technologies such as ARKit, RealityKit, and SwiftUI to build system applications for Apple Vision Pro
• Collaborate with the design team to develop and iterate first-class applications such as Display Adjustment and Lock Screen
• Solve challenging technical problems related to rendering time optimization and dynamic foveation on Mac Virtual Display
• Lead architecture reviews and contribute to low-level systems understanding
