Senior Data Scientist - System Scheduling Performance

Job Description

The System Scheduling Performance team at Apple is seeking a highly motivated systems software engineer to drive the development of resource management technology at the core of the operating system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong programming background with 2+ years of experience
• Clear understanding of operating system components and responsibilities
• Strong foundation in statistics and data analysis
• Professional and collaborative with outstanding communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop key performance metrics, tools, and infrastructure for OS features
• Design and implement new operating system constructs for resource management
• Write elegant, performant code and productize it
• Rapidly prototype new ideas and features
• Consult with and influence cross-functional teams for adoption of new APIs
