Wireless SOC FW Engineer

Job Description

Join Apple's Wireless Connectivity Silicon team as an Embedded FW Engineer working on wireless SoC firmware development.

Requirements

• BS in relevant field
• 10+ years of industry experience
• Strong background in embedded FW development using C and assembly languages
• Experience with ARM CPUs, embedded wireless communication systems, low-level hardware interfaces, and register programming
• Solid understanding of embedded concepts such as RTOS, concurrency, and multi-processor systems
• Experience developing low-level drivers for peripherals and hardware bring-up
• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols and industry standards
• Comfortable with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Tcl
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement embedded firmware for SoC bring up and wireless connectivity enablement
• Work closely with product SW teams to provide system-level API and firmware functionality
• Collaborate with different engineering teams to architect and implement innovative algorithms and protocols
• Support pre-silicon validation efforts and post-silicon bringup, validation, and performance characterization
• Develop SoC test and calibration capabilities for chip, module, and product factories
