Haptics Hardware Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Apple is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of next-generation Haptic Technologies.

Requirements

• Strong EE, circuit, signal processing, and electromagnetism background
• Good understanding of sensors and associated signal chain
• Fundamental knowledge and experience in physics and mechanical engineering
• Proficiency in MATLAB, SPICE, Simulink, or similar simulation and modeling tools
• Familiarity with modeling electro-mechanical systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Designing haptics subsystem including architecture, component selections/requirements, and schematics
• Validating and characterizing module performances and signal/power integrity
• Participating in test requirements definition and failure analysis
• Collaborating on proof of concept investigations for new sensing and actuator technologies
