Haptics Product Design Engineer

Job Description

The Product Design / Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design, development, and validation of next-generation haptic actuators and experiences at Apple.

Requirements

• BS degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
• Experience with 3D CAD, 2D drafting, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics
• Applied knowledge of electrical circuits, material science, and basic chemistry

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm concepts and solutions to haptic related challenges
• Prototype, evaluate, and debug innovative ideas
• Design mechanical components and assembly schemes
• Generate detailed specifications and drawings
• Conduct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to resolve root cause
