JavaScriptCore Manager

Job Description

The role of the JavaScriptCore Manager is to manage individual contributors, cross-functional projects, and potentially other projects in order to develop new features and evolve the JavaScriptCore VM to deliver better performance, improved security, new language features, better developer tools support, and other improvements.

Requirements

• BS in computer science or equivalent (equivalent credential or software experience)
• Experience with mentoring, career development, project planning, and executive reporting
• Detailed knowledge of system development in C++
• Excellent debugging, critical thinking, and performance analysis skills
• Experience with compilers, parsers, interpreters, and virtual machines
• Experience with assembly-level programming

Responsibilities

• Manage individual contributors and cross-functional projects
• Develop new features and evolve the JavaScriptCore VM
• Drive low-level security and performance improvements in WebKit and throughout Apple’s operating systems
