Physical Design Lead – Custom Silicon Management

Job Description

Apple is looking for a Physical Design Lead to work with their Custom Silicon team in designing innovative chips for their products.

Requirements

• BS in Physical Design
• 10+ years of experience in Physical Design
• Knowledge of digital design concepts

Responsibilities

• Audit vendor PD flows and methodologies
• Suggest improvements to vendor methodology for optimizing QoR for Apple chips
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure design goals are met
• Conduct periodic design reviews
• Review final PD, STA, SI, Electrical analysis reports and sign-off for tapeout approval
• Provide post-tapeout support for ECOs and debugging
• Maintain consistent standard of operation across all vendors and projects
