Wi-Fi MAC Standard Architect

Job Description

As a Wi-Fi MAC Standard Architect at Apple, you will be responsible for the innovative design of next-generation Wi-Fi technology, representing Apple in IEEE 802.11 and Wi-Fi standard bodies, and driving the company's strategic interests in those organizations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in wireless MAC layer and cross-layer communication protocol and system designs
• In-depth understanding of IEEE 802.11n/ac/ax/be/bn
• Rich experience in defining detailed feature requirements, presenting technical solutions, and writing specifications, design documents, and test cases
• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science

Responsibilities

• Actively working with various internal teams to keep them apprised of standard developments and directions
• Supporting development teams to define and decide features, architectures, and design strategies
• Proposing, supporting, and championing innovative solutions both internally and externally
• Contributing to system level simulation and evaluation to support proposals and solutions
