Senior SerDes System Validation Engineer

Job Description

Lead system validation engineer role at Apple working on high-speed serial links and mixed-signal SerDes IP for upcoming products.

Requirements

• MSEE with 10+ years relevant experience or PhD with 7+ years relevant experience
• Experience in high-speed serial links, system bring-up, lab testing, scripting, mixed-signal circuit verification, DFT, silicon bring-up, SerDes design, link jitter budget, ADC based links, PCB design, communication, teamwork, problem-solving
• Proven track record of delivering under difficult debug and validation scenarios

Responsibilities

• Lead system validation of mixed-signal SerDes IP
• Collaborate with Analog-Mixed/Signal design team
• Participate in validation and debug of embedded circuits
• Work on system bring-up of high-speed serial links
• Define equipment needs for lab testing
• Scripting for automation of validation efforts
• Work closely with circuit design team
• Lead mixed-signal SerDes system validation
• Work on silicon bring-up, debug, and production ramp
• Understand SerDes design and architecture
• Analyze link jitter budget for high-speed serial links
• Familiarity with PCB design and specifications
• Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
