Product Quality Manager (PQM) – Color– Accessories, Home and Beats

Job Description

Apple is seeking a Product Quality Manager - Color to define product color appearance specifications and manufacturing quality control methods for Accessories.

Requirements

• BS or higher in Engineering or Color Science
• 5+ years of experience in developing quality plans or experience with color appearance, gloss, texture, and GD&T metrology preferred
• Knowledge of quality concepts, supplier management, and manufacturing operations
• Proven understanding of problem-solving tools including root cause analysis and statistical process control principles
• Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of specific color Quality Control Plans
• Drive corrective actions cross-functionally with internal and external team members
• Qualify and implement quality inspection tools
• Establish audit procedures and assess supplier production control
• Monitor supplier performance through measurement of production line statistics
• Prepare summaries of performance and communicate to appropriate team and management
