SoC Performance and QoS Validation Engineer

Job Description

Join a team of expert software engineers at Apple to work on designing and testing next-generation high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) for Apple products.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Expertise in C and C++ programming languages
• Experience with embedded systems programming and RTOS
• Strong understanding of ARM specification and computer architecture
• Knowledge of memory systems and performance benchmarking

Responsibilities

• Validate block level and system level performance of various subsystems in the SoC
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop testplans and debug silicon data
• Maintain and improve Real Time Operating System (RTOS) for AP Clusters and IO Co-Processors
• Develop low-level driver code for configuring sub-systems
• Develop system software to validate power management features
• Write latency critical software to identify performance/QoS issues
• Help with prototypes bringup and explore power and performance of bare metal workloads
