Wireless Systems Engineer, Cross-Layer Design

Job Description

Apple is seeking a Wireless System Engineer to work on pioneering wireless SoC's for high data rate applications, focusing on PHY/MAC Cross Layer problems.

Requirements

• BS with 10 years industry experience
• Experience in designing PHY/MAC cross-layer algorithms and wireless communication systems
• Deep understanding of communication theory, information theory, and signal processing
• Experience with system optimization in congested and dynamically changing radio environments
• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols

Responsibilities

• Implement system models and investigate innovative algorithms in PHY/MAC cross-layer
• Discuss with product teams to come up with novel algorithms for real-life applications
• Perform simulations to validate designed algorithms
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on solutions
• Test and characterize algorithms on real silicon in lab
• Analyze real silicon systems for enhanced solutions
