SoC Power Modeling Engineer

Job Description

Join Apple's Silicon Engineering group to work on modeling power dissipation of various IPs and optimizing leading edge chips for power-efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
• Programming skills and understanding of low-power digital design and power fundamentals
• Skills in scripting, data analysis, and experience with EDA tools
• Understanding of SOC power modeling and current demand
• Ability to understand and model thermal control loops and throttling mechanisms

Responsibilities

• Modeling power dissipation and power delivery
• Establishing voltages for DVFM states of IPs
• Interacting with various teams to establish voltage-frequency design points
• Working with the power lab and test teams to correlate models to HW data
