Display Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Apple's Display Technologies group is seeking Mechanical Engineers to design and develop innovative display modules for future products.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with mechanical engineering fundamentals including properties of materials, solid mechanics, beam statics, Newtonian physics, and thermodynamics
• Experience with mechanical design & validation
• 3D/2D software experience: 3D modeling (Pro/E, NX, CATIA, or Solidworks)

Responsibilities

• Investigate state-of-the-art mechanical designs and technologies to improve display performance
• Define module mechanical architecture based on various requirements
• Optimize mechanical design through prototyping and new material qualification
• Implement validation plans for mechanical characteristics of display modules
• Act as a focal point among cross-functional teams to deliver mechanically robust displays
