Wireless Module Engineer

Job Description

The Wireless Module Engineer (WME) at Apple will be responsible for developing wireless modules from early concept to ramp, communicating risks/priorities to executives, leading cross-functional problem-solving, and driving RF module and component vendor meetings.

Requirements

• BS with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong RF fundamentals
• 2 or more years of wireless module development experience
• Strong data analysis skills
• Excellent problem-resolution skills
• Ability to define best engineering methods
• Very good communication skills
• Experience in setting up project schedules
• Ability to travel internationally

Responsibilities

• Develop wireless modules from early concept to ramp
• Communicate risks/priorities to executives
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving
• Drive RF module and component vendor meetings
• Formulate component and module development guidelines
• Be the technical liaison between internal cross-functional teams and RF vendors
• Resolve technical issues affecting MP goals
• Take RF component/module to MP with yields meeting Apple quality requirements
• Work with vendors to integrate schedules and risk mitigation plan
• Communicate component risks to the executive team
