Job Description

Apple OTA System Engineering team is looking for a Mechanical Robotics Engineer to support design, development, and deployment of Fixtures, and Robotic solutions for wireless technologies test systems.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics or Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years relevant work experience
Working experience with mechanical fixturing, design, and production
Hands-on fabrication or machine-shop experience with tools such as 3-axis mill, lathe, CNC, 3D printer, laser-cutting machines, and inspection equipment such as OMN/CMM and CT scan
Basic Knowledge of GD&T techniques and ability to read mechanical drawings
Proficiency with CAD including Solidworks, Pro/Engineer, or NX

Responsibilities

Support design, integration, and deployment of robotic automated solutions for wireless technologies test systems
Debug and resolve issues, identify and implement improvements on existing Robotic solutions
Design and create custom fixtures, support fast prototyping for specific automated solutions
Provide feedback towards selection of 3rd party vendor robotic solutions, validate their desired application
Contribute to defining and communicating requirements, including HW and SW dependencies of desired automated solution to cross-functional teams and 3rd party vendors
