Operations Engineer II

Job Description

Seeking highly motivated engineers to operate and troubleshoot complex systems for U.S. Government agencies using cloud computing technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 3+ years of technical support experience
• 3+ years of network and operating system support experience
• 3+ years of virtualization, orchestration, and cloud computing experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Secret or Top Secret

Responsibilities

• Operate the Managed Service platform and collaborate with internal service teams
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive root cause analysis
• Build proof of concept environments following cloud-best-practices
• Collaborate to build utilities and tools for operational use
• Act as an escalation point and mentor to less experienced engineers
• Provide customer voice to internal AWS teams and drive customer communication during critical events
