Electrical Engineer (Power)

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a talented Power Engineer to work on specifying and integrating power supplies and batteries within industrial automation products.

Requirements

• Experience with prototyping and implementation
• 5+ years of experience designing the electrical connections inside industrial electrical AC/DC and DC/DC cabinets
• Experience specifying COTs components for use within 100-600VAC systems
• Ability to lead a technical team
• Extensive system design interfacing to a wide array of electro-mechanical subsystems
• Commitment to rigorous testing practices and design process flows

Responsibilities

• Designing Industrial Electrical Control Panel schematics
• Reviewing specifications and schematics for compliance with safety standards
• Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs
• Specifying, integrating, and deploying power supplies and batteries in industrial automation equipment
• Ensuring the specifications of the power system meet the customer needs and regulatory requirements
• Coordinating all activities within the engineering discipline for the project
• Establishing development processes to meet industry standards for functionally safe control systems
