Data Center Chief Engineer

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continuous access to innovation for customers.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in a relevant field (electrical, mechanical)
• 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Act as primary escalation point for facilities-related issues
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
• Create and deploy new standard practices for technicians and vendor support teams
• Assist in building out new facilities and projects for efficiency
• Ensure safety procedures are adhered to by vendors and staff
• Establish building performance benchmarks and prepare reports
• Communicate technical information to non-technical audience
