Sr. Systems Development Engineer, Kuiper

Job Description

Looking for an experienced Senior PLM Systems Development Engineer with a strong background in development and product lifecycle/configuration management to work on enterprise tools within the Kuiper Engineering team at Amazon.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
• 4+ years experience in systems engineering, product development, or technical product management
• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang
• 3+ years of experience with web application development
• 3+ years of experience with developing against SQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems

Responsibilities

• Interface with all necessary individuals in supported departments to identify product data needs
• Balance requirements into a comprehensive product data management strategy
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design documentation
• Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions for engineering workflows
• Provide hands-on leadership for the team in guiding development activities and architecture decisions
