Sr. Software Engineer, EC2 Windows

Job Description

The EC2 Instance Platform organization at Amazon Web Services is seeking Senior Software Development Engineers to work on large-scale platforms for enterprise customers in the cloud.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Proficient in C/C++
• Experience in developing Windows user-mode or kernel-mode drivers
• BS in CS/EE or related field with 10+ years of experience
• MS/PhD in CS/EE or related field with 8+ years of experience
• Deep understanding into OS level, familiar with either Windows or Linux kernels

Responsibilities

• Innovate and bring the best system software to enterprise customers
• Improve the CI/CD process to increase development velocity
• Work collaboratively on solution development of both user and kernel space applications
• Define solution technical roadmap with Product management team
• Analyze business requirements and provide solution design
• Create architecture design with resilience, scalability, and performance
• Assure the highest quality bar with software development best practices
• Participate in design and code reviews, mentor junior team members, and participate in Agile development process
