Systems Engineer, Kuiper Ground Systems

Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking a Satellite Communications Ground Systems Engineer to join their team responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge antenna systems for a high-performance satellite constellation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of systems engineering experience in development and delivery of satellite communications systems.
• 2+ years of RF systems experience, preferably with ground tracking antennas and systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience-education.
• Experience in product design, integration, and test at Ka-band as related to antenna systems.
• In-depth understanding of satellite communications link budgets.
• Experience supporting ground systems development efforts including meeting cost, schedule, and performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop architecture, specifications, requirements, and designs for parabolic LEO TT&C and Gateway Terminal systems.
• Troubleshoot issues, analyze results, and make recommendations for improvements and corrective actions.
• Support ongoing operations including fault analysis and resolution, and performance metrics and trends.
• Communicate regularly on status, risk, and change control.
• Support the development of monitoring and control systems and methodologies.
